Apple Mulled White Wine Recipe
A drink made with apple juice and apples that is a take on the traditional mulled wine. It's the perfect drink for fall.
For mulled wine
– 1 bottle (750 ml) white wine
– 1 cup (240 ml) apple juice
– 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
– 1 apple, halved and thinly sliced
– 1 organic lemon
– 4 cinnamon stick
– 6 clove
To serve
– 1 apple, halved and thinly sliced
– 1 organic lemon, sliced
– 4 cinnamon stick
INGREDIENTS
In a large non-reactive pot, mix wine, apple juice, chopped apple, sugar, and cinnamon sticks. Put cloves in the lemon, slice it, and add to the pot.
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1
Put on the burner over medium-high heat and simmer gently. Simmer for 20 minutes to tenderize apples.
STEP 2
Want more sugar? Taste. Increase the heat and boil the wine for a few minutes to reduce its alcohol content.
STEP 3
Off heat, pour wine into heat-resistant glass mugs. Top drinks with cinnamon sticks, apple, and lemon slices and serve warm.
STEP 4
Store leftover mulled wine in the fridge for a day after straining. Reheat carefully on the stove.
