Birthday Cake Brownies Recipe

When you cook this funfetti cake in a 9x9-inch pan, you add brownie batter and roll it around. One mix of brownie batter and sprinkle cake batter!

Ingredient

– 1 ¾ cup All-purpose flour – ½ tablespoon Baking powder – ½ teaspoon Salt – ½ cup Unsalted butter room temperature – ¾ cup White granulated sugar – ¼ cup Sour cream room temperature or plain yogurt – ½ tablespoon Clear imitation vanilla see note – 2 Large eggs room temperature – ½ cup Buttermilk room temperature – ⅓ cup Rainbow jimmie sprinkle – ½ cup White granulated sugar – 1 Large egg room temperature – 2 tablespoon Unsalted butter melted – 2 tablespoon Oil canola or vegetable – 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract – 3 tablespoon All-purpose flour – ¼ cup Unsweetened cocoa powder – ½ tablespoon Cornstarch – ½ teaspoon Salt – ¼ cup Semi-sweet chocolate chip – ½ cup Powdered sugar – 1 tablespoon Milk – 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract

Direction

Warm the oven up to 350°F. Cover a 9x9-inch pan with baking spray that doesn't stick. Put parchment paper around the bottom of the pan. Spray it again.

Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium basin. Set aside.Mix butter and sugar on high for 3 minutes. Light, fluffy butter is ideal.

Next, add sour cream, vanilla, and eggs. Medium-mix until blended. To ensure mixing, scrape the basin with a rubber spatula.

Mix ⅓rd dry ingredients and half buttermilk on low speed. Stir in another ⅓rd of dry ingredients and remaining buttermilk. Finish using dry ingredients.Put the mixer on hold and sprinkle. Evenly divide cake batter in pan.

Combine flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt in a small bowl. Set aside. In a whisk-attached mixer, beat sugar and egg for 5 minutes on high.Add melted butter, oil, and vanilla on low until combined. Mix the dry ingredients mostly.

Mix without the mixer. Use a rubber spatula to scrape basin. Next, add chocolate chips.Scoop batter onto cake with a tablespoon. Spread it in dollops. Swirl batter with a butter knife.

Bake until a cake crumb pick comes out clean but brownie batter crumbs are moist, 30–35 minutes. If brownies appear like uncooked batter, bake for 3–4 more minutes.

Leave the cake in the hot pan for 10 minutes. Transfer to cooling rack. Cool completely before decorating.Mix powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk in a small bowl. Apply glaze on cake gently. I added more.
