Delicious Chinese Chicken Curry Recipe

Our 15-minute chicken curry is simple and healthful. For a healthy family meal, serve this takeout copycat with fluffy rice.

– 4 skinless chicken breasts, cut into chunks (or use thighs or drumsticks) – 2 tsp cornflour – 1 onion, diced – 2 tbsp rapeseed oil – 1 garlic clove, crushed – 2 tsp curry powder – 1 tsp turmeric – ½ tsp ground ginger – pinch sugar – 400ml chicken stock – 1 tsp soy sauce – handful frozen peas – rice to serve

INGREDIENTS

The chicken pieces should be tossed in the cornflour and then seasoned thoroughly. Put them in a separate location.

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

In a pan over low to medium heat, fry the onion in half of the oil for about 5 to 6 minutes, until it gets soft. Then add the garlic and cook for another minute. 

STEP 2

Then add the water and soy sauce, stir them in, and cook for another minute. After that, set the heat to low and let it cook for 20 minutes. Put everything in a mixer and blend it until it's smooth.

STEP 3

Clean the pan, and then use the rest of the oil to fry the chicken until it's golden all over. 

STEP 4

After adding the peas, stir the sauce back into the pan and bring it all to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes. If the sauce is too thick, add some water. Put rice on the side.
