Five Cheese Ziti Al Forno

Five Cheese Ziti Al Forno is comfort food at its best. This velvety ziti is loaded with Mozzarella, Parmesan, Romano, Provolone, Ricotta, and crispy panko and baked to perfection.   

1 pound ziti 4 tablespoon butter 4 cloves garlic 4 tablespoon all-purpose flour 2 cups half and half ¼ teaspoon salt ¼ teaspoon pepper 1 cup Parmesan cheese 1 cup ricotta cheese 4 cups marinara sauce 2 cups mozzarella cheese 1 cup Provolone cheese ½ cup Romano cheese 



Cook the pasta per the package. Drain, set aside. Preheat oven to 350℉. In a large skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.

Add flour to garlic and stir. Whisk in half-and-half. Add salt and pepper. When boiling, sauce thickens.

Combine cheeses, reserving ½ cup of mozzarella. Stir in the marinara and Italian seasoning. Boil.

Mix breadcrumbs, butter, Italian seasoning, and parmesan in a small bowl. Save.

Layer pasta in a casserole dish, add ½ cup of mozzarella cheese, and top with panko topping.

After adding the sauce, toss the ziti thoroughly. After placing the casserole dish in the oven, bake it for thirty minutes.
