Maple Banana Pizza With Ricotta Recipe

Try something new with this maple banana pizza with cheese that tastes like breakfast! This recipe makes a pizza that's 11 inches (28 cm) across and can feed up to 8 people.

– 1/2 pizza dough – 45 g 1/2 cup walnuts or pecan – 30 g 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted – 4 large banana – 45 ml 3 tablespoons maple syrup – about 130g, 1/2 cup ricotta, room temperature – 120 ml 1/2 cup whipping cream

INGREDIENTS

Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F). Bake walnuts on a small baking pan for 5 minutes till aromatic. Remove from oven and cool.  

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

Fork-mash two bananas in a small bowl. Add 2 tablespoons maple syrup and mix well. Mix the ricotta and 1 tablespoon maple syrup in another bowl and set aside.  

STEP 2

Stretch or roll the dough into a 28-cm (11-inch) round on a floured board. Place on a greased tart pan, cookie sheet, or pizza stone.  

STEP 3

Brush dough butter. Spread ricotta evenly. Evenly cover with mashed bananas.

STEP 4

Slice the remaining two bananas vertically or roundly. Put banana slices on the pizza and brush with remaining butter.   

STEP 5

Put pizza in oven and heat to 220°C (425°F). Bake 20 minutes until the dough is golden brown and crisp and the bananas are soft and fragrant.  

STEP 6

Beat the cream until it forms stiff peaks with a hand mixer, stand mixer, or by hand. Roughly cut toasted walnuts.  

STEP 7

Let pizza cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan. Sprinkle walnuts on pizza and slice evenly. Serve with whipped cream.
