Peanut Butter Cup Hot Chocolate Recipe

Hot chocolate with a hint of peanut butter that is rich and smooth is the best drink for winter. Simple to make and heat up.   

Hot chocolate – 1 cup (240 ml) water – 1/2 cup (130 g) creamy peanut butter – 4 tablespoons (25 g) unsweetened cocoa powder – 4 cups (960 ml) whole milk – 8 oz (225 g) semisweet baking chocolate, finely chopped – sugar, to taste For serving (optional) – 2 cups (480 ml) whipping cream, cold – 4 tablespoons powdered sugar – caramel sauce, to taste

INGREDIENTS

Make hot chocolate first. Boil water in a medium pot. Remove from heat and add peanut butter. Whisk peanut butter until dissolved. Add cocoa powder and stir until smooth.   

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

Return the mixture to the stove over medium heat and slowly add milk. Whisk until milk and peanut butter are incorporated.   

STEP 2

Stir in finely chopped chocolate when the milk is warm but not boiling. Stir until all chocolate melts. To mix in all the particles, scrape the pot's sides and bottom with a spatula.   

STEP 3

The combination should resemble chocolate soup. Try the chocolate before adding sugar.   

STEP 4

Add it tablespoon by tablespoon, stirring after each addition, until desired sweetness is reached. Remove hot chocolate from heat and cover until serving.   

STEP 5

In a bowl, mix whipping cream and sugar to make whipped cream. Medium-speed beat until medium peaks form.   

STEP 6

Add cream and caramel sauce to hot chocolate. Reheat leftover chocolate on the stove after covering it in the fridge.
