Red Velvet Cookies With White Chocolate Chips Recipe

These moist, creamy, and soft red velvet cookies are loaded with white chocolate chips, and they taste just like red velvet cake.

– 1 + ¾ cups all-purpose flour – ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder  – ¼ teaspoon salt – ½ teaspoon baking soda – 1½ teaspoons baking powder – ½ teaspoon cream of tartar – ½ cup salted butter  – 1 cup granulated sugar – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 2 egg – 1 tablespoon red food coloring – 2 cups white chocolate chip

Mix flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda, baking powder, and cream of tartar in a small bowl. Mix butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl until fluffy.

Add eggs and vanilla extract to the large bowl and beat until fluffy. To distribute food colouring evenly throughout the batter, mix well and scrape down the bowl sides.

Make it dark red with enough food colouring. Mix the small bowl's dry ingredients into red batter. Add 1 cup white chocolate chips.

Freeze for 15-30 minutes to form balls. Preheat oven to 350°F. Place two parchment-lined or lightly greased baking sheets aside.

Measure 1 ½ tablespoon of dough balls with a cookie scoop. Space scoops 2 inches apart. Bake 9 minutes.

Remove cookies from oven. Immediately press some remaining white chocolate chips onto the warm cookies' tops.

Cool them on the pan for 2–3 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack. Once cool, serve.
