This isn't your normal stuffed toast. This sweet, crunchy, and juicy cottage cheese toast is like a trip.
– 4 slices crusty rustic bread– 9 oz (250 g) European quark cheese, or cottage cheese or ricotta– 2 tablespoons honey, plus more to taste– 7 oz (200 g) red seedless grapes, halved– 2 tablespoons (30 ml) orange juice, plus more to taste– 2 teaspoons orange zest– 1/4 cup almonds, roughly chopped
INGREDIENTS
In a toaster, cook the bread until it turns golden brown. Put quark and honey in a medium bowl while the bread toasts.
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1
Add more honey if you think it needs it after tasting it. Toss the grapes in orange juice in a second bowl until they are all covered.
STEP 2
Spread a lot of quark over each piece of toasted bread that you put on a plate. Add as many grapes as you can, and also get some of the juice.
STEP 3
Add some orange juice and then the almonds on top. If you want, drizzle more honey on top and serve right away.
