Turtle Brownies Recipe

It's fudgy and chock full of chocolate chips and nuts that have been chopped up. Poked brownies have nuts and salted caramel in them.

Ingredient

– 2 cups White granulated sugar – 3 Large egg – 1 Egg yolk – ½ cup Oil canola or vegetable – ½ cup Unsalted butter melted and cooled – 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract – ¾ cup All-purpose flour – 1 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder – 1 tablespoon Cornstarch – 1 teaspoon Salt – 1 ⅓ cup Semi-sweet chocolate chip – ½ cup Chopped pecan – 1 cup White granulated sugar – 4 tablespoon Unsalted butter room temperature and cubed – ½ cup Heavy cream room temperature – 1 teaspoon Salt – ½ teaspoon Pure vanilla extract – Chopped pecans for decoration

Mix flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt in a medium basin.Beat sugar, eggs, and egg yolk on high for 5 minutes in a mixer with a whisk attachment. A faint color will result.

Mix in oil, melted butter, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and mix on low until mixed.Remove the mixer and scrape the bowl with a rubber spatula before adding the chocolate chips and chopped pecans.

Pour brownie batter in pan. Bake 45–55 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly underdone. If toothpick reveals batter, bake 5-10 minutes more. Crumbs signal ready.

Cool brownies on a rack before removing from pan. Make caramel while brownies bake.Melt sugar crystals in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk mixture.

Let it lie till amber without stirring. This takes less than 30 seconds. Whisk half the diced butter into the mixture after turning off the heat. Repeat with remaining butter.

Stir in heavy cream carefully after heating it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Add vanilla and salt.Pour hot caramel into a glass measuring cup and cool fully.

Remove the brownies from the pan. Poke brownies with a wooden stick, chopstick, or small round object. Punch holes in brownies with 1 inch spacing.

Place ½ cup of caramel on brownies and let it to soak into the holes for 5 minutes. Then top brownies with caramel and chopped pecans.
