Witch Hat Cookies recipe

Sugar-rolled peanut butter witch hat cookies. Chocolate ganache, Harry Potter-colored buttercream, and a Hershey Kiss top it.

Ingredient

– 1 ⅓ cups All-purpose flour – ¼ teaspoon Baking powder – ¼ teaspoon Baking soda – ½ teaspoon Salt – ½ cup Unsalted butter melted and cooled – ¾ cup Brown sugar packed light or dark – ¼ cup White granulated sugar – ½ cup Peanut butter creamy – 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract – 1 Large egg room temperature – 1 Egg yolk room temperature – ⅓ cup White granulated sugar – ½ cup Semi-sweet chocolate chip – ¼ cup Heavy cream – ¾ cup Unsalted butter room temperature – ¾ cup Powdered sugar sifted – 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract – Pinch of salt – Red, yellow, green, and blue food dye – Halloween sprinkles optional – 18 Hershey's Ki

Direction

Mix flour, baking powder, soda, and salt in a medium basin. Set aside.Mix the melted butter, brown sugar, sugar, and peanut butter in a separate bowl on high speed for 2 minutes.

Mix in vanilla, egg, and yolk. Medium-mix until blended. Use a rubber spatula to scrape basin.Stir in the dry ingredients on low speed until mixed.

Pre-heat the oven to 350℉. Use parchment on two cookie sheets. Let cookie dough settle for 10 minutes before scooping.Pour sugar into a bowl. Scoop dough with a 1 oz or 1 tablespoon cookie scoop.

 Roll each cookie dough with sugar. Use 12 cookie dough balls per sheet.Bake each cookie sheet by itself. Bake 9-10 minutes. Bake edges till light golden.

Allow the cookies to cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.Beat butter for 2 minutes on high with a mixer. Add sifted powdered sugar and mix on low until mixed.

Vanilla and salt should be added and mixed on high speed until creamy.Divide buttercream into 4 bowls. Color each dish red, yellow, green, blue.Fill piping bags with each color of buttercream.

Put chocolate chips in a basin. Pour heavy cream into a small saucepan/frying pan. Medium-low heat till steaming.Pour hot cream on chocolate chunks. Let it sit 2 minutes. Make smooth by stirring.

Melt any remaining chocolate bits in the microwave for 15 seconds.The cookie gets one dollop from a teaspoon. Lightly spread chocolate. Keep it away from the edge. Do this to all cookies.

Freeze 10 minutes. Buttercream-pipe a cookie center circle. The double circular layer should be larger than a Kiss. Put a Hershey's Kiss and Halloween sprinkles on top.
