Creamy Oatmeal Apple Smoothie Recipe

A gluten-free, high-fiber breakfast drink that makes you feel full. It's good hot or cold.  

– 1/2 cup (45 g) old-fashioned rolled oats, I use gluten free oat – 1 1/4 cups (300 ml) soy milk, or almond milk – 2 Medjool dates, pitted and roughly chopped – 2 tablespoons hazelnut butter , or almond butter – 1 medium apple, cored and roughly chopped – 1 small banana, sliced – 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, more to taste – 2 teaspoons honey, more to taste

INGREDIENTS

Put oats in the blender. Mix them quickly until they look like coarse flour. Warm the milk in the microwave or on the stove until it's very warm but not hot.   

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

This will make a warm smoothie. Just add milk to mixed oats if you want to use them cold.  

STEP 2

Add the rest of the ingredients and blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and fully pureed. You can taste the drink and add more cinnamon or milk if you want.  

STEP 3

For the best meal ever, put some apple chips on the side and serve the smoothie.
