Mexican Street Corn Chipotle Hummus Recipe : Because I have recently developed a minor infatuation with anything that is Mexican Street Corn, it is only logical that I would want to combine it with another one of my favorite meals, which is hummus. This is because hummus is known to be a great complement to Mexican Street Corn. The hummus that is made with Mexican street corn can be described as exploding with flavors that are both fresh and vivid.

It will take you literally only a few minutes to whip it up, and by the time you are done, you will have a snack or appetizer that is both delicious and healthful in your possession. When it comes to meals that make use of fresh corn, this is one of my favorites to prepare, and I really enjoy serving it during the summer months.

Mexican Street Corn Chipotle Hummus Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 can great northern beans drained (approx 15.5 oz) (or garbanzo beans)
  • 3/4 cup corn kernels
  • 1 lime
  • 2 cloves roasted garlic (or raw)
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 Tablespoons cotija cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh cilantro chopped, optional
  • 1/2 cup corn kernels
  • 2 Tablespoons cotija cheese
  • 1/2 lime
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh cilantro chopped, optional
  • 1 dash cayenne
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

The beans, a half cup of corn kernels (the remaining corn kernels should be set aside), lime juice, garlic, olive oil, chili powder, and salt should be combined in a food processor. The remaining corn kernels should be left aside.

Make sure the ingredients are thoroughly mixed until they reach the desired consistency. Take a small quantity of water at a time and add it to the mixture if it is necessary to thin it out.

In order to enhance the flavor, additional salt, lime, and chili powder can be added according to personal preference. The remaining quarter of a cup of corn kernels, two tablespoons of cotija cheese, and one tablespoon of fresh cilantro should be added to the mixture.

By doing this, you will end up with pieces of these components dispersed throughout the hummus. This is the result. In order to prepare the salsa, place all of the components for the salsa into a small bowl and combine them before proceeding with the recipe.

Chili powder, lime juice, and salt to taste should be added, and they should be seasoned to taste. The salsa mixture should be spooned through a spoon and placed on top of the hummus. Hold off on serving until you are ready to do so.

Notes

Before I serve the hummus to my guests, I make sure to give it a minimum of half an hour to chill in the refrigerator. This is the minimal length of time that I allow it to chill. My desire is for the hummus to be given in a portion that is chilled, and this is the reason why I have made this decision.

This result occurred as a consequence of the fact that, in my opinion, the flavor is enhanced when it is chilled, which is the reason why this outcome occurred. If you read this post, you will acquire the knowledge that is necessary to prepare garlic that has been the topic of the roasting process.

This knowledge will be acquired if you read this article. Even if you are not going to be using it personally, it is of the utmost significance that you always make sure to preserve it in the refrigerator until you need it. This is the recommendation that you should always make.

In order to successfully complete the task, the manner in which it is maintained is the suitable strategy. Additionally, you have the choice to make use of raw garlic, which will result in a level of spiciness that is rather modest in comparison to the other options that are available to you. It is possible for you to carry out this action.
